School Age
Our School age ratio is 1:15 This group can kick back and relax or socialize with others their age. They have their own space away from the little ones and can really unwind from a full day of school. They can feel safe and secure with friends they know.
Infant & Toddler
Infant Room:
Our Teacher Child Ratio for the Infant room is 1:3. We have a bright and cheerful infant room that has many bright and age appropriate toys to play with in a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. We ensure that each of them have the attention and cuddles little ones need so much. A clean and child safe area just for them to explore.
Toddler room
Our Teacher Child Ratio is 1:5. This group is busy and loves to learn through play. We have just the space and activities to entertain this fast growing group. Nap time in the afternoon leaves them energized for more. Come see how much fun your toddler will have here.
Preschool & Kindergarten
Preschool Room
Our Teacher Child Ratio is 1:8. This age group is looking for more independence and getting geared up for school. They learn many of the skills and routines that allow them to transition well into school. They are social and make long time friends at this stage. We have the perfect developmental toys, games and activities for this eager and energetic group.
Kindergarten
Our Teacher Child Ratio is 1:10 This social group really enjoy each others company and find our center a great place to unwind from schools busy schedule. We enjoy group activities and imaginative play. We look forward to hearing about their day. School transportation is available.

We have been Helping Hands - Rougemount parents since it first opened its doors in 2006. The family oriented atmosphere, cleanliness of the location and posted meal/activity plans are second to none. The loving smiles and comforting hugs are prevalent with the supervisor and teachers alike. The children are immersed in loving care, good times and fun activities . We love the staff of the Rougemount location and consider ourselves very lucky to have found such a wonderful daycare for our children. Keep up the good work Rougemount!!!!

Mingo, the site supervisor actually ran her own centre for many years in Pickering before coming to work for Helping Hands. She started off as our school age teacher, then relocated to cover a maternity leave at our Brooklin site. She oversees a team of professionals, many who have also been with us for many years.
